Rayburn O. Hanzlik

Lt. Commander, U.S. Navy · Flight instructor · "Grand Boy"

The patriarch of the Hanzlik aviator lineage, R. O. Hanzlik learned to fly in a Curtiss Jenny in the late 1920s in Southern California, serving as a civilian instructor for the Army Air Corps before joining the U.S. Navy in 1942. At his retirement from flying in 2001, at 93, he was the 7th oldest active pilot in the United States.

Rayburn D. Hanzlik

Navy Air Intelligence Officer · Private pilot, 50+ years

Instructed by his father in the family Luscombe 8A beginning at 14 and soloing on his 16th birthday, Rayburn D. Hanzlik served as a Navy Air Intelligence Officer, assigned to a squadron aboard USS Ranger in 1965–66. He remained an avid private pilot for more than fifty years. Continuing the Hanzlik tradition, Nicholas started flying at 15 and holds commercial single- and multiengine certificates. Now based in Aiken, South Carolina, with aircraft sales experience dating back to 2017, he puts his experience and passion to work for sellers and buyers across the country.

6% of sale price · $4,000 minimum

All-inclusive brokerage service, with the valuation fee credited at closing.

Buying an aircraft

4% of purchase price · $3,500 minimum

Search, vetting, pre-buy coordination, negotiation, and closing. Paid at closing.

Written valuation

$500 flat · credited at closing

A written market valuation and logbook review, and the first step for every listing. Sell with us and it is credited back in full.

All engagements in writing, including listing term. Escrow and title through an independent, FAA-recognized escrow agent.
